Do you charge for estimates?
No — estimates are always free, with no obligation to move forward.
Is a deposit required to start a project?
Most projects require a deposit to secure your spot on the schedule and cover initial material orders. The exact amount and payment schedule are laid out in your project agreement before any work begins.
Do you offer financing?
Ask about financing during your estimate — options can vary by project size and scope, and we’ll point you in the right direction if it’s a fit.
Licensing, Insurance & Warranty
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — JMD Property Innovations is a licensed and insured general contractor in New Jersey. Our license number is listed in the footer of every page.
Do you carry workers’ compensation coverage for your crew?
Yes — our crew is covered, and we can provide proof of insurance on request.
Do you offer a warranty on completed work?
Yes — we stand behind our workmanship, and your project agreement spells out the specific warranty terms for your job.
Our Process & Timeline
What does the process look like, start to finish?
It starts with a free walkthrough and written estimate. Once you approve the scope, we handle permitting, scheduling, and the work itself with one team from start to finish, keeping you updated at each stage.
Who handles permits and inspections?
We do — permitting and inspection scheduling are part of the project, not something you have to manage yourself.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends entirely on scope — anywhere from one to two weeks for a bathroom refresh to several months for a whole-home renovation or major addition. You’ll get a project-specific timeline with your estimate.
Will I need to move out of my home during construction?
Most homeowners stay in the house for single-room remodels. Larger projects — whole-home renovations or major additions — are sometimes phased to keep part of the house livable. We’ll walk through what’s realistic during your estimate.

Do you build new homes from the ground up?
No — we focus on renovating, remodeling, and adding onto existing homes rather than ground-up new construction.
Do you take on small handyman-style repairs?
Our focus is planned remodeling and renovation projects rather than one-off small repairs. If you’re not sure whether your project fits, ask during your estimate and we’ll point you in the right direction either way.
Do you work on multi-family or rental properties?
Yes — we take on multi-family and rental-property remodels in addition to single-family homes.
